To be a cyclist is to be a student of pain….at cycling’s core lies pain, hard and bitter as the pit inside a juicy peach. It doesn’t matter if you’re sprinting for an Olympic medal, a town sign, a trailhead, or the rest stop with the homemade brownies. If you never confront pain, you’re missing the essence of the sport. Without pain, there’s no adversity. Without adversity, no challenge. Without challenge, no improvement. No improvement, no sense of accomplishment and no deep-down joy. Might as well be playing Tiddly-Winks.

You’ll Be Missed.
“what do you think I’ll see if I could walk away from me?” My cousin took that literal the other day. I feel so confused by the whole thing… I guess it just seems so out of character. I always looked up to him in a way. He made “life” seem so fucking “cool” and easy. Making every bad decision as if it was a good one and living life to the fullest. I’ve never met anyone who was loved by every kind of social group out there and still expressed his own individuality. You couldn’t help but to love the guy. Maui… You truly will be missed, love you dude.
